For successfully implementing the "dynamic nesting" system in order to optimise the efficient use of materials in sheet-metal processing, Deutsche Mechatronics was awarded the German Material Efficiency Prize 2007. The 10,000-euro prize, awarded annually by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, was presented to Deutsche Mechatronics on 5 December at the EuroMold Fair in Frankfurt am Main.

"Despite being 60 years old, we have no intention of being put out to grass", concludes Dr. Karlheinz Sossenheimer, CEO of Deutsche Mechatronics, as he considers the future of the high-tech company. On this anniversary, the focus was not just on the company’s history. On the occasion of the company’s jubilee celebrations on 1 September, shareholder Stefan Leuze solemnly unveiled the new company logo of the Mechatronics Group (www.mechatronics-group.de), which recently acquired two new members.

The traditional infrared seminar took place this year in Essen on 10 May with record attendance. Some 46 participants, i.e. double last year’s figures, used the opportunity to learn more about "More efficient industrial heat processes with infrared".
